Syed Tahir Shahbaz, Federal Ombudsman addressing the participants of National Consultative Meeting on Strengthening Institutional mechanism for children protection in Pakistan
Islamabad, the 20th January, 2020 PRESS RELEASE · DUE TO OMBUDSMAN INTERVENTION COMPLAINANT GOT POSSESSION OF PLOT BY CDA AFTER 27 YEARS. Due to Ombudsman intervention a complainant got the possession of plot after 27 years. Mirza Javed Ahmed and Nazir Ahmed Chaudhary filed two separate applications to CDA for allotment of plots. CDA allotted them a plot No.1751 in I-11/1 in 1992 and in 2013 a plot No.124 in I-11/2 but failed to deliver their possession. Later on it was transpired that their plots were in graveyard and its alternate plot would be allotted to them, hence they filed complaints before the Federal Ombudsman. During hearing proceedings, CDA informed that unfortunately their plot was merged into graveyard and alternate plots would be allotted to them. Ombudsman ordered to allot them plots within one month but CDA failed to allot by delaying tactics. The Implementation of WMS by two hearings of the cases ensured the implementation of findings. Now the CDA has allotted them plots, and Mirza Javed succeeded to get plot after 27 years and Mr. Nazir Ahmed Chaudhary after 7 years.
