Outreach complaint resolution (OCR) and awareness campaign in Balochistan
The Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat took an initiative in the form of Outreach Complaint Resolution Programme (OCR) in order to provide justice at the doorstep of people belonging to remote areas. Under this programme, the officers from the regional offices of Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat periodically make scheduled visits to the tehsils and districts of their respective regions and people from the adjoining areas meet them for resolution of their grievances. The idea behind this initiative is to provide speedy justice and relief to those people who otherwise may have difficulties reaching Wafaqi Mohtasib Offices. The officers reach out to the people, hear their complaints and resolve them within 45 days. The Honourable Mohtasib, during his visit to various cities across Pakistan, also issued directives to the officers of WMS to regularly visit the districts and tehsils of their regions and also inform the locals about the functioning of WMS and the OCR in particular so that maximum people could benefit from this programme. He also asked the Regional Offices to liaise with their respective local administrations to create better understanding about the WMS.
Acting upon the directives of the Honourable Mohtasib, Regional Office Quetta prepared pamphlets and also made flex banners for awareness purposes and its officers went to the far flung areas of this difficult terrain province to hear the complaints of the people and spread awareness about the working of the Wafaqi Mohtasib institution. Honourable Wafaqi Mohtasib appreciated the efforts of the Regional Offices Quetta in this regard.
