Federal Ombudsman meets Governor of the the Punjab

Honourable Wafaqi Mohtasib, Syed Tahir Shahbaz called on the Governor of the Punjab, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar at Governor House, and Lahore on 19th September, 2019 and presented to him the annual report of the institution. The Federal Ombudsman informed the Governor about working mechanism of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat (WMS). He informed that every case in the WMS is decided within 60 days and under Outreach complaint Resolution programme the case is decided within 40 days at the door step of the complainants. He further informed that the WMS is observing the current year as the “AWARENESS YEAR”. In this regard an awareness seminar has been planned at Lahore. The Governor lauded the performance of the Federal Ombudsman in provision of free and speedy justice to the people at their doorstep. He endorsed the proposal of seminar and promised to chair it. The seminar is scheduled in the second week of October this year
