Federal Ombudsman's intervention ensures issuance of degrees to students of National Textile University
Students of Plastic Technology Center (PTC) of National Textile University, Faisalabad completed their B.Sc. Polymer Engineering under the Hamdard University. However, they were not issued degrees on completion of their course by Hamdard University. They lodged a complaint with Wafaqi Mohtasib to resolve their issue.
An inquiry was conducted in the matter by the Federal Ombudsman and a report was called from Ministry of Textile and National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad. The representative of NTU informed that Hamdard University had to be provided funds, to be managed by the Ministry of Textile, for issuance of degrees. After going through the record, the Federal Ombudsman directed the Textile Division to issue funds to the NTU, Faisalabad. As a result, the Textile Division transferred an amount of Rs.16.976 million the account of NTU, Faisalabad, out of which 4.117 million were given to Hamdard University for issuance of engineering degrees to students of Plastic Technology Center. The Hamdard University has issued degrees to all students who have thanked the Federal Ombudsman.
